Taking Door Panel Off 2002 Explorer

I pried off the trim around the handle and don t see another screw but the panel won t break loose.

There are no screws at all in the door to take out. First the small panel behind the door handle lock needs to be removed. Once it is loose you can use your fingers to pull it the rest of the way out. Once the trim panel is unclipped pull the handle towards you to slide the panel around it.

There are two clips located on the forward portion of the panel. Start in a lower corner and work around the panel and gently pull to separate the front door trim panel from the front door to disengage the white grip pin type retainers. Wedge a flathead screwdriver behind this portion of the panel and pry it loose. Use the trim panel tool or flathead screwdriver to pry off the small trim panel surrounding the interior door handle.
